Start the new year off with a splash! Join a fun-loving crowd of nearly 200 jumpers for a bone-chilling dive into 2025.
A New Year’s tradition on Whidbey Island since 2004.
WHY?! It’s fun. Seriously! Plus it benefits local youth programs.
DETAILS Registration/Check-In opens at 10:30am. Splash at noon. Swim at your own risk; no lifeguard on duty.
FEE $10 Fee includes coffee, cocoa, cookies, bonfires, music, and a downright festive event. Proceeds support the Island County 4-H (FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE SHIRT).
LOCATION: Double Bluff Beach at 6325 Double Bluff Rd., Freeland. Limited parking is available at Double Bluff. Please plan for delays in parking, and expect to walk a bit down the road.

In an effort to conserve on t-shirts and maximize fundraising, we’ve teamed up with Washington Design Company to offer a website with different options for Polar Bear Dive clothing that you can order for yourself or others. The purchase of clothing does not include event registration. Click here for the event merchandise store.
Orders placed by 11:59pm on Sunday, Dec. 22nd will be available for pickup at the event. The store will reopen on Jan. 1st, if you need to order another shirt or hoodie after the dive.

Driving Directions
From South Whidbey Island, head North on SR525, turn left onto Double Bluff Road, follow to the end into the parking area for the park.
From North Whidbey Island, head South on SR525, turn right onto Double Bluff Road, follow it to the end into the parking area for the park.
