Description

The annual National Night Out (NNO) is scheduled for Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

NNO is a unique crime-prevention event involving citizens, law enforcement and emergency personnel from the City of Oak Harbor, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations, the Island County Sheriff's Department, NAS Whidbey, and local officials from Island County.

NNO 2021 Update:  Because this will be the first NNO post-pandemic a decision was made to limit participation to first responder, county behavioral health, and development service agencies. There is a lot of support for NNO in our community and we have received other requests for outside participation. We anticipate a larger event in 2022 and including vendor booths.

National Night Out is designed to:

Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs;
Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back!

What You Will Enjoy: Many free family activities are held during the entire event including demonstrations, exhibits, and hands-on activities for all ages.  Military, Police, Fire, and other First Responder vehicles will be on display.

Location: Windjammer Park, Oak Harbor
