The learning center is expanding the coding & robotics summer offering to meet the needs of local youth. There are introductory Coding Camps for kids age 8-12 to explore block-based programming languages (Scratch and Minecraft), used to create interactive stories, animations, constructions, and mini-games.

In addition, there are action-packed Robotics Camps where tweens and teens to build programmable robots through coding. The interactive exercises also strengthen their skills in problem solving, creativity, and collaboration.

For the first time, WILASC is inviting partners from out of town to offer unique in-person programs for local students. A special spotlight is the full-day game design workshop “Creating Worlds in RPG Games” led by DigiPen Institute of Technology (Redmond, WA), a top-ranking college in game design nationwide. This workshop is perfect for those who want to explore the exciting field of game design.
